Blinds can easily turn day into night. The room can be so dark you can't tell the difference what time it is. Perfect for people trying to get a control on their sleep routine through change in light conditions. Factor in that temperatures can be so hot the entire day in Sydney, with blinds I easily keep my room temp lower than what it is outside that I don't have to rely on my A/C unit to keep things cool.
